Dec 07, 2016 (newstodate): United Airlines has deleted seasonal flights to Norway during the next summer schedule.
Member of the Star Alliance, the carrier earlier planned for daily rotations on the route between New York and Oslo during summer 2017, using Boeing 757 aircraft. But this service has now been taken off the schedule.
Last summer the carrier offered a daily rotation on the route from New York with Boeing 757-200 aircraft, with the last flight on September 3, 2016.
The route was first opened in 2004 by Continental Airlines, merged into United Airlines from 2011.
However, United Airlines would now be competing with SAS and Norwegian also serving the route leading to low fares and stiff fight for passengers.
