Dec 21, 2016 (newstodate): Thai Airways is back in Moscow after a period of suspended operations during the slack crisis years.
Starting from December 15, 2016, Thai is again operating flights on the route between Bangkok and Moscow Domodedovo Airport, now offering four weekly rotations with Boeing 777 aircraft.
And the booking figures have already convinced the carrier to keep the four weekly rotations also during the next Summer 2017 schedule, while earlier cutting frequency during the summer season.
Thai first opened its Moscow services on November 1, 2005, using A340-600 aircraft with three weekly rotations, going up to four weekly flights from October 26, 2008, using Boeing 777 aircraft.
On march 29, 2015, the carrier performed its last flight between Bangkok and Moscow and closed down its office in Moscow, marking the full retreat from the market.
