Dec 08, 2016 (newstodate): Sweden's Taby Air Maintenance, TAM, has been selected by Scottish airline Loganair to convert two Saab 340B aircraft to cargo configuration.
This is a follow-on to a previous conversion of two Saab 340A aircraft also for Loganair.
TAM is the only company worldwide that has been approved by the US Federal Aviation Administration, FAA, as well as the European Aviation Safety Authority, EASA, to perform a full cargo conversion of Saab 340A and Saab 340B.
The first aircraft is already at TAMs facilities at Orebro Airport, scheduled for delivery in mid-January 2017, with the second aircraft, slated for delivery in early February.
Converted to freighter, the Saab aircraft will carry 36 cubic meters of loose cargo.
