Dec 21, 2016 (newstodate): Starting from next year, Taiwan's MRO company Evergreen Aviation Technologies will add conversions of Boeing 767 aircraft to its portfolio.
After the start of the program in 2017, the Taiwanese company will deliver the first converted Boeing 767-300BCF freighter in 2018, offering the same cargo capacity as the Boeing 767-300F, up to 50 tonnes and a range of up to 5,900 km.
Boeing expects a global market need for about 400 units of this type over the coming 20 years, and Boeing has already booked 27 orders for the converted Boeing 767-300BCF.
The Taiwanese company is already in the market for freighter conversions of the 747 aircraft.
