Dec 22, 2016 (newstodate): By the end of 2017, all 44 airports in Sweden must be EASA certified, says the country's Transport Agency, Transportstyrelsen.
First airport to meet the requirements for full certification already now is Jonkoping Airport, owned by the regional community.
The European standards were defined and approved in 2009, and in 2014 Sweden completed its national program comprising 280 elements for certification.
Jonkoping Airport has been working on the certification process since 2014 and has now achieved the goal of becoming first in the country to be fully EASA certified.
