Dec 15, 2016 (newstodate): The Norwegian aircraft engine MRO provider Aero Norway AS has obtained approval by CAAC, the Civil Aviation Administration of China.
With this approval, Aero Norway is certified to perform engine maintenance for aircraft registered in China in accordance with CAAC Part-145.
The certification covers the full spectrum of services offered by CFM authorized repair station Aero Norway on all three CFM56 engines.
Aero Norway can now hope to attract customers among China's airlines and can also provide maintenance and acceptance tests on engines from leasing companies with Chinese airline customers.
Aero Norway was originally SAS' engine overhaul center that was closed down in 2012 and later established by Pratt & Whitney as its engine maintenance center.
