Dec 15, 2016 (newstodate): Finnair is expanding its fleet of Airbus A321 aircraft in 2017.
The carrier has signed a leasing contract with CDB Aviation Lease Finance for two new Airbus A321-200 aircraft.
Both aircraft are taken on a minimum eight years contract, with the first aircraft to be delivered for the winter season 2017/2018 and the second for the summer season 2018.
In winter 2016, Finnair already announced the long-term lease of a total of six similar A321 aircraft from the first half of 2017 onward.
In the fleet now are already 13 Airbus A321 aircraft.
The transactions are part of Finnair's fleet renewal, where feeder capacity is needed to balance the previously announced expansion in long-haul capacity including the delivery of a total of 19 Airbus A350 aircraft.
