Dec 01, 2016 (newstodate): Set up only in 2015 and EASA Part-145 certified by early 2015, the Danish aircraft maintenance company Aeroservice has come off to a fine start.
Since March 2016, Aeroservice has been working on a project to set up a new aircraft line maintenance organization for WOW Air at Iceland's Keflavik Airport, to be finally handed over to WOW Air by April 2017.
-It a requiring challenge to set up an organization like this, manned with some 30 staff to provide line maintenance to WOW Air's currently 12 aircraft, says Andrew Djurhuus, Aeroservice CEO and Accountable Manager.
-At the same time it is a contract that will signal the professional capabilities of our company to potential new customers in the market, and WOW Air is of course also a carrier set on the road to sustained expansion.
-Besides this, we are active at Copenhagen Airport, providing a range of airlines with AOG and other ad-hoc line maintenance services, especially during the peak summer seasons.
-The objective of Aeroservice is to provide services within the scope of continued airworthiness, ranging from Maintenance Services, Technical Training, Quality Assurance, Safety Management and overall management and support of CAMO and AMO, says Mr Djurhuus.
