Dec 19, 2016 (newstodate): Tallinn Airport has already unpacked its Christmas gifts this year.
On December 12, 2016, the European Investment Bank signed a EUR 30 million loan agreement with Tallinn Airport to finance expansion and modernization works.
The project comprises a number of investments at Tallinn Airport that are aimed at improving environmental and safety performance, alleviating current congestion and accommodating future growth in traffic.
It includes the reconstruction of the existing runway and apron pavement, an extension and reconfiguration of the passenger terminal and the renewal and upgrade of the airside lighting system.
And on December 16, 2016, the Nordic Investment Bank and Estonias AS Tallinna Lennujaam agreed on a loan of EUR 24 million to finance a major airside infrastructure improvement project, as well as other important projects including the construction of a new parking facility and an aircraft painting hangar.
The state-owned company AS Tallinna Lennujaam operates the Lennart Meri Tallinn International Airport and six regional airports in Estonia.
