Dec 14, 2016 (newstodate): Today marks the first commercial flight by airBaltic's new Bombardier CS300 that thus takes the first step into the real world of service.
Amsterdam has been selected as the first destination from Riga to be operated with the CS300 aircraft on December 14, and after this opening flight, airBaltic will introduce the CS300 on flights to Munich and Tallinn on December 15, Stockholm will see its first CS300 operation on December 16, with Helsinki on the list on December 17, 2016.
More CS300 first flights are scheduled thereafter as the aircraft is gradually phased into operation, and a second CS300 is slated for delivery already around the turn of this year.
airBaltic has placed orders for a total of 20 Bombardier CS300 aircraft.
