Nov 21, 2016 (newstodate): Russia's Sukhoi Superjet 100 may find a new operator in Norway, FlyViking Airlines.
According to a Norwegian aviation media, FlyViking, owned and managed by Ola Gjaver, is with a delegation in Russia to negotiate the opening of flights between Kirkenes and Murmansk as a first move into the Russian market.
As a door-opener for the rights to operate the route, FlyViking is considering the acquisition of an unspecified number of the Superjet 100 to form the backbone of the coming aircraft fleet.
Earlier, Norwegian aviation media reported that FlyViking was in the market for acquisition of up to 10 aircraft the size of either Embraer E-jet or Bombardier CS aircraft.
