Nov 18, 2016 (newstodate): As part of its ongoing cost cutting strategy Cargo Evolution, Lufthansa Cargo is eliminating one management layer - but without basically impacting the existing situation in the markets.
In the future, the company will be divided into eight business units including North and East Europe, headed by Annette Kreuziger located at HQs in Frankfurt.
This business unit comprises the Nordic and Baltic regions, Russia/CIS, Eastern Europe and Turkey, and for the Nordic region especially this means that the position as Lufthansa Cargo Director for the Nordic and Baltic countries, today held by Alexander Kohnen, will disappear while the Lufthansa Cargo Nordics Office at Stockholm will be dismantled.
-All this will take effect from January 1, 2017, but it will have no bearing on the close relations between Lufthansa Cargo and customers in the Nordic markets, says Mr Kohnen.
-Michael Schoop will continue as now as Country Manager Denmark and Iceland, Frank Nozinsky will remain Country Manager Sweden, Jon Haugen remains Country Manager Norway, and Mika Seppaelae will remain Country Manager Finland and the Baltics.
-The only in-house change will be that Norway will refer to Sweden, while Sweden, Denmark and Finland will report directly to Annette Kreuziger, says Mr Kohnen.
After this reorganization, Mr Kohnen will take up a new position at Lufthansa Cargo HQs to head the company's new unit, Industry Development & Product Management.
