Nov 24, 2016 (newstodate): Kazakhstan is eagerly looking forward to December 8, 2016, when a decision may be made by the EU Commission to lift the country's aviation industry off the Black List.
The country's aviation industry was last audited by a team from EU to verify its compliance with ICAO safety regulations, and its rate of compliance has now reached 74 percent, compared to an average of 76 percent among European countries, and 63 percent on a global level which places Kazakhstan as #66 among ICAO's 191 member states.
If EU's Air Safety Committee recommends that Kazakhstan is lifted off the Black List, Kazakh carrier will be free to operate commercial flights to new European destinations.
