Nov 22, 2016 (newstodate): Not everything touched by Etihad turns into gold: the carrier has announced the suspension of its flights to Belarus.
From March 25, 2017, the carrier will stop flights on its route from Abu Dhabi to Minsk, Belarus, citing low demand in the Belorussian market.
In the meantime, frequency on the route will drop from seven to three weekly rotations during Q1, 2017, before the route is closed.
The route was Etihad's first into Eastern Europe, launched on August 15, 2008, with two weekly rotations using Airbus A319 aircraft.
