Nov 15, 2016 (newstodate): Finland's Helsinki Airport is seeing brisk growth in cargo volumes in 2016.
During January-October 2016, the airport saw its total volumes up by 10.1 percent, y-o-y, to 15,347 tonnes of cargo and mail, domestic and international combined.
International cargo has been up 11 percent, y-o-y, to 141,036 tonnes, while international mail volumes dipped by 9.3 percent to 6,940 tonnes.
During the period, domestic cargo and mail volumes were up by 26.5 percent to 2,221 tonnes driven by a growth by 74.9 percent in domestic mail, 1,119 tonnes.
