Nov 30, 2016 (newstodate): The global aircraft brokering company Chapman Freeborn, present with its Nordic head office since January 2013, reports a sound performance in 2016.
-We have a determined focus on the air cargo market and have maintained our strong position here in the Nordic region that has of course been marked by the general cooling-down in the oil and gas industries during the recent years, says Kim Borgaard, Chapman Freeborn Regional Sales Manager Nordic.
-Cargo still remains a core business for us and specific segments including also courier operations serving the offshore, aerospace and maritime industries have performed nicely in 2016.
-On the passenger side, we are seeing growth of business not least in areas including events, sports and other cultural areas where chartering an own plane for specific transportation solutions are becoming increasingly attractive also in the Nordic markets as it has been in the global marketplace for a long time already.
-Especially during the summer season, the big challenge has, however, been sourcing aircraft capacity to meet market needs. This has naturally had a corresponding influence on the pricing of air transport services for charter purposes, and this has required a strong network, high credibility and efficient decision-making.
-But counting all things together, 2016 has been another good year for us in the Nordic markets, says Kim Borgaard.
