Nov 16, 2016 (newstodate): The Nordic airport handling company Aviator has announced a deep-going restructuring of its commercial organization to be completed by January 1, 2017.
A basic tenet of the coming new changes will be decentralizing and removing central functions of the organization, to allow countries and stations to take more ownership for Aviator and its progress.
These changes are designed to make Aviator an organization with stronger local ownership and with full financial and operational responsibility to the station manager, Aviator says on its website.
A new structure for Aviator's customer management with a local designated contact person in each country will be implemented.
In connection with these coming and ongoing changes, Erik Strandgren, Aviator CCO and with Aviator since November 2013, will leave Aviator in Q1, 2017 after handovers are completed, and Catharina Redgaard, Aviator Business Sector Director and with Aviator and its predecessor Nordic Aero since 1993, will also leave the company by early December.
As reported in October, the position as Aviator Sweden Managing Director will be filled by Ola Skogoe from November 28, 2016, while Lars Wrist-Elkjaer has been appointed new Aviator Denmark Managing Director, also from November 2016.
