Nov 14, 2016 (newstodate): Launch customer of the Bombardier CS300 aircraft, the Latvian carrier airBaltic has now announced the first commercial flights with the new aircraft.
Amsterdam has been picked as the first destination from Riga to be operated with the CS300 aircraft that will be officially taken over at an event at Riga Airport on December 1, 2016.
After the opening flight to Amsterdam, airBaltic will introduce the CS300 on flights to Munich and Tallinn on December 15, and Stockholm will see its first CS300 operation on December 16, with Helsinki on the list on December 17, 2016.
More CS300 first flights are scheduled thereafter as the aircraft is gradually phased into operation.
airBaltic has placed orders for a total of 20 Bombardier CS300 aircraft.
