Nov 02, 2016 (newstodate): AirBridgeCargo, Russia's undisputed leader in cargo services, is to tap even deeper into the UK market with a new freighter service.
Starting from November 3, 2016, the carrier will be offering three weekly rotations on the route between London Heathrow and Moscow with Boeing 747-8 freighter aircraft connecting to ABC's global network.
According to ABC's press release, in 2015, 29 percent of the UKs non-EU exports by value went through Heathrow where UK exporters currently face a shortage of space in aircraft holds going to long-haul destinations, with the squeeze most pronounced on routes to Asia.
In January-September 2016, heading Russia's Top-5 league was, as always, ABC with 362,974 tonnes, rising just 1.1 percent but still more than three times bigger in vo9lumes than #2, Aeroflot.
