Oct 28, 2016 (newstodate): Effective from November 1, 2016, Proactive Airline Services has been named WOW Air cargo GSSA in all four Nordic markets.
The contract is awarded by Cargo Express, the Icelandic cargo GSSA that has the over-all responsibility for cargo sales and marketing for WOW Air.
-It is a significant achievement to land this contract for sales and marketing of WOW Air in the Nordic region. The carrier is expanding rapidly in fleet, routes and frequencies and has a growing importance in the cargo business as well with capacity on its Airbus A320 Family and A330 aircraft, says Bo Seidelin, Proactive Airline Services.
-WOW Air currently operates daily services with Airbus A320/A321 aircraft from Copenhagen to Keflavik, with numerous onward connections throughout Europe and to the USA and Canada, and flights between Stockholm and Keflavik will start up on November 18, 2017, with initially four weekly rotations.
-From Keflavik WOW Air now serves destinations in Canada and the US including Boston, Baltimore, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Toronto and Montreal, with New York Newark to be opened from November 25, 2016, and flights to Miami to be added from April 2017, says Mr Seidelin.
