Oct 13, 2016 (newstodate): Cargo volumes on Russian carriers increased by 9.2 percent, y-o-y, during the first eight months of this year.
During January-August 2016, a total of 596,201 tonnes of cargo was carried, 79.9 percent of which was lifted by the country's top-5 operators, aggregating a total of 479,257 tonnes.
Heading the Top-5 league was, as always, ABC with 320,692 tonnes, up 4.9 percent, followed by Aeroflot with 102,273 tonnes and up 13.6 percent, S7 S7 Sibir with 22,096 tonnes and up 15.7 percent, Volga-Dnepr with 18,098 tonnes but down 19.5 percent, and UTAir with 16,108 tonnes and rising steeply by 54.2 percent, y-o-y.
