Oct 11, 2016 (newstodate): Qatar Airways has been met with a strong response to its freighter service between Hungary and Qatar, driving the expansion of the frequency already after nine months.
The carrier has now decided to add a third weekly flight to program at Budapest Airport, operating an Airbus A330-200F offering some 65 tonnes of cargo uplift in addition to the belly capacity on the daily Airbus A320 flight between Doha and Budapest since January 17, 2011.
Qatar Airways first launched freighter services to Budapest from March 3, 2016, with two weekly rotations also using Airbus A330-200F aircraft.
Shipments from Hungary primarily comprise high-value commodities, including automotive parts, machinery,pharmaceuticals and biotech products.
