Oct 03, 2016 (newstodate): Qatar Airways has obviously come off to a better start with its second attempt to operate freighter services to Budapest, Hungary.
Already from June 30, 2012, Qatar Airways Cargo launched a direct twice-weekly freighter service between Doha and Budapest with an Airbus A300F freighter aircraft, but pulled out again in 2013 citing commercial reasons, and the fleet capacities were reallocated to other operations.
A second attempt was then made from March 3, 2016, as the company introduced the Airbus A330-200F on direct flights between Doha and Budapest, offering two weekly rotations on the route.
The decision has now been made to add a third weekly rotation on the route starting from October 7, 2016.
The dedicated freighters will complement the existing belly-hold cargo capacity on Qatar Airways daily Airbus A320 flights, lunched on September 14, 2011.
