Oct 11, 2016 (newstodate): So far, Latvia's airBaltic has been alone in serving the route between Riga and Copenhagen, Denmark, although in a code-share with SAS.
SAS is, however, now determined to return own flights on the route, opening from next summer's schedule with 12 weekly rotations using CRJ900 aircraft from March 26, 2017.
SAS ceased operating own flights to Latvia in 2008, and since then SAS and airBaltic have been code-sharing on airBaltic's flights between Latvia and destinations in Scandinavia.
