Oct 31, 2016 (newstodate): Lufthansa Cargo is now using a stop at Novosibirsk Tolmachevo Airport on its routes between Germany and China.
According to the existing intergovernmental agreement, Novosibirsk has been designated the sole technical stop on Lufthansa Cargo's flights to China, and the carrier is currently planning for seven or eight weekly operations at the airport on the routes to Shanghai and Guangzhou with MD-11F aircraft.
If agreed between the countries, Lufthansa Cargo would also like to have commercial rights to loading or offloading cargo at Novosibirsk, the company's Regional Director for Russia said at a ceremony marking the launch flight.
