Oct 03, 2016 (newstodate): Emirates is now back with Airbus A380 services to the Russian market.
Starting from October 1, 2016, one of Emirates' two daily rotations between Dubai and Moscow is now served with the A380, replacing the Boeing 777-300ER in use till now.
It is the second time Emirates brings the Airbus A380 into the Russian capital, and the return was moved forward to October 1, rather than December 1, 2016, as earlier announced..
Starting from August 1, 2014, Emirates introduced its second daily Airbus A380 rotation on the route between Dubai and Moscow Domodedovo Airport, also replacing the Boeing 777-300ER on one of two flights.
But the A380 disappeared again from November 2014 as the crisis struck the Russian economy.
Emirates first launched flights on the route to Moscow on July 1, 2003, with five weekly rotations operated with an Airbus A330-200 aircraft, adding a second daily flight from March 1, 2009.
