Oct 26, 2016 (newstodate): The European Investment Bank, EIB, has agreed a 1.68 mio euro loan to Copenhagen Airport in support of the plans to build the airport to a capacity of 40 mio annual passengers.
Plans now on the table call for construction start of phase 1 of a new Pier E dedicated to large wide-body aircraft as well as expansion of the apron areas at the existing Terminals 2 and 3 in addition to the upgrading of other airside and landside areas.
In the first nine months of 2016, the airport has handled 22.1 mio passengers, an increase by 9.9 percent, y-o-y.
