Oct 25, 2016 (newstodate): The first Bombardier CS300 for airBaltic, the Latvian launch customer for this aircraft, has now left the paint hangar in Montreal as yet another step towards the first delivery.
airBaltic has earlier set Q4, 2016, as the final target date, and the actual delivery will probably take place in early November 2016 - almost three years later than originally planned due to a prolonged series of snags and delays on the part of the aircraft manufacturer.
After the delivery, the aircraft will be gradually introduced in commercial service from November on selected flights to familiarize crews and airports with the new aircraft.
airBaltic has placed firm orders for the delivery of a total of 20 CS300 aircraft, with the first four expected to be in the fleet before the end of 2016.
