Jan 12, 2015 (newstodate): After a year marked by restructuring following the take-over of Swissport's former cargo handling at Copenhagen Airport from October 1, 2014, WFS Denmark is facing 2016 with fresh energy.
-In itself, 2015 was certainly a challenging year for the entire air cargo business marked by a general decline in volumes, stiff competition and extreme pressure on rates and charges. And on top of this we were faced with the demanding task of merging staff with two cultures into one efficient force alongside the closing down from the end of May 2015 of Swissport's cargo terminal 3 and the consolidation of all activities in our two terminals at Copenhagen airport, says Thomas Petersen, WFS Denmark general manager
-But from the start of this year, a range of organizational measures to enhance levels of quality and raise customer satisfaction is now in place and we are seeing volumes building up again after a slack holiday season, says Mr Petersen.
(newstodate apologizes for an error contained in today's issue of newstodate Headlines, citing Swissport rather than WFS, as it should of course be)
