Jan 25, 2016 (newstodate): One six-year old Boeing 737-800 aircraft has passed from service with Norwegian to entering the fleet of Ukraine International Airlines.
The first of six aircraft to join UIA as part of the fleet renewal plan, the Boeing 737NG will be followed by five more in the course of this year.
As the new aircraft are starting commercial operations, the nine 737-300 and Boeing 737-500 Classic aircraft currently serving will be phased out by the end of 2018.
From 2019, UIA will thus have a modern fleet comprising only Boeing 737NG, Boeing 767 and Embraer 190 aircraft.
