Jan 11, 2016 (newstodate): The Swedish/British carrier West Atlantic has now taken delivery of its third Boeing 767-200F freighter, placed on Swedish aircraft registry.
The new aircraft entered service with the carrier from December 29, 2015 - but on the same day the first Boeing 767-200F delivered in April 2015 was flown to Monarch for a C-check, meaning that until January 15, 2016, the carrier will still have only two wide-body freighters in service on the contract with TNT.
According to Russell Ladkin, West Atlantic Marketing & Sales Director, the company plans to add two or three more aircraft per year, ending up with a fleet around six Boeing 767-200 and 767-300 freighters.
In the fleet of West Atlantic are also now nine Boeing 737SF aircraft, with two more on the horizon, as well as two CRJ200LR and 33 ATP freighter aircraft.
