Jan 27, 2016 (newstodate): Competition will increase further as a new carrier is entering the market for air connections between Istanbul and Stockholm.
Starting from March 16, 2016, the Turkish carrier AtlasGlobal will launch flights between the two destinations, using Airbus A320 aircraft.
Plans are to offer one daily rotation on the route, bringing the total of daily flights between Istanbul and Stockholm to up to seven rotations as both Turkish Airlines and Pegasus Airlines are already on-line on the route.
AtlasGlobal, until March 2015 trading under the name of Atlasjet, operates scheduled domestic and international passenger services as well as charter flights, mostly out of its base at Istanbul Ataturk Airport, with a fleet of 21 Airbus A320 Family aircraft.
