Jan 20, 2016 (newstodate): Estonia's Nordic Aviation can now see the future of its commercial partner, Slovenia's Adria Airways, secured.
After a lengthy period of uncertainty and troubling economy, Slovenia has sold 91.58 percent of the stakes in Adria Airways to the German investment fund, 4K Invest from Munich, that specialises in acquiring medium and large-sized companies with poor operating performance.
Prior to the take-over, the Slovenian state and the new shareholder will inject fresh capital into the carrier to alleviate its acute financial plights.
An earlier attempt to sell the carrier through a tender process failed in 2012, leaving Adria Airways in troubled waters.
After the demise of Estonian Air, Nordic Aviation started operating on November 8, 2015, leaning on a close cooperation with Adria Airways including the use of its AOC and commercial platform.
