Jan 14, 2016 (newstodate): In 2015, cargo volumes through Sweden's Gothenburg Airport continued its downward trend.
A total of 11,968 tonnes of cargo was handled at the airport, a de3cline by 22.2 percent, y-o-y.
The airport was formerly one of Sweden's leading cargo airports, but after losing Asiana Cargo's freighter operations to Oslo Gardermoen Airport from September 7, 2012, and later also the freighter rotations by Emirates SkyCargo from July 1, 2014, as the carrier consolidated all freighter operations through Scandinavia at Copenhagen Airport, in Denmark, Gothenburg Airport has been in a negative development.
