Jan 05, 2016 (newstodate): Nordic Aviation, the successor of the bankrupted Estonian Air, it taking a new step towards becoming an airline on its own in 2016.
The company has thus dry-leased one Bombardier CRJ-700 from the US company Regional One, and a second aircraft will join the fleet by February 2016, to be operated with Estonian cockpit and cabin crews.
The two aircraft were actually formerly on a lease contract with Estonian Air, and will initially be introduced on the route between Tallinn and Amsterdam, as well as on flights to Kiev, Munich and more destinations.
The aircraft will serve Nordic Aviation while operating on the AOC of Adria Airways pending the granting of Nordic Aviation Group's own AOC, expected by mid-2016.
Nordic Aviation performed its first flight on November 8, 2015, with aircraft operated by Adria Airways in cooperation with BMI, Trade Air, NextJet and Carpatair.
