Jan 04, 2016 (newstodate): The Iranian carrier Mahan Air is expanding its European route network in 2016.
Starting from January 14, 2016, the carrier will return services on the route between Tehran and Moscow Vnukovo Airport, and flights are also to be introduced on a new route between Tehran and Kiev, Ukraine, from the same date.
Both routes will be operated with Airbus A310 aircraft with four and two weekly rotations, respectively.
As earlier reported, Mahan Air is also to introduce flights from Tehran to Scandinavian destinations Copenhagen and Stockholm, presumably from this summer depending on finalization of the remaining operational issues as well as aircraft availability.
These flights will be operated with either Airbus A340 or A310 aircraft, with two rotations on each route.
Other new European routes will connect Tehran with Bahrain, St Petersburg, Sochi, Athens, Munich and Milan, as well as Birmingham and London.
Other new international flights by Mahan Air will add Delhi and Tokyo to the route map.
