Jan 11, 2016 (newstodate): Month by month, Serbia's Belgrade Airport saw a strong increase in cargo volumes in 2015.
The airport handled a total of 1,776 tonnes of cargo in 2015 - an increase by 41 percent, y-o-y.
The total comprises only flown cargo, and the bulk of the country's airfreight remains trucked to and from other continental airline hubs.
In December 2015 alone, volumes increased by 25 percent, y-o-y, to 213 tonnes, while the single largest monthly flown cargo volume was handled in November 2015, when 164 tonnes were handled, also up 16 percent, y-o-y.
