Jan 04, 2016 (newstodate): The Belarus cargo carrier Transaviaexport has taken delivery of its second Boeing 747-200F freighter.
The carrier took in its first Boeing 747-200F in June 2015, and both aircraft are operated on wet lease contracts.
Plans are, however, on the table to change the leasing contracts into dry lease arrangements as the carrier builds up an own contingent of pilots at a later stage.
In the fleet now are also 11 Il-76 and and two Il-76MD, but only six of these are currently airworthy, and the carrier plans to divest of six aircraft to other operators, building its future on new freighter aircraft including western-built freighters.
