Jan 28, 2016 (newstodate): 2015 proved a close race between the two biggest IATA freight forwarders in Sweden, measured in export cargo volumes on AWBs closed in the country.
Less than 1,500 kg separated #1 DHL Global Forwarding from #2 Geodis as DHL actually decreased volumes by 16.74 percent, y-o-y, to 20,576 tonnes while Geodis shrank "only" 1.32 percent to 19,113 tonnes.
As one of only three Top-10 IATA forwarders to grow volumes in 2015, #7 DSV took the lead with an increase by 14.19 percent to 4,074 tonnes, while the largest decrease was seen by #10 Airlog Group that dipped 19.17 percent to 1,924 tonnes.
The two other forwarders with positive growth were #4 Kuehne & Nagel, up 2.31 percent, and #9 Scanam, up 4.04 percent, y-o-y.
Only the two largest forwarders kept two-digit market shares, followed by #3 Schenker with 7.91 percent of the market, down ion volumes by 7.96 percent, y-o-y, to 7,628 tonnes in 2015.
