Sep 10, 2015 (newstodate): Airfreight volumes are still small at Lithuania's Vilnius Airport - but the trend is positive in 2015.
In January-July 2015 the airport handled a total of 4,586 tonnes of cargo and mail which was an increase by 4.61 percent, y-o-y.
The totals included 3,764 tonnes of cargo and 823 tonnes of mail.
Except for the first two months of this year, each month has been marked by increase in volumes, with three months running into two-digit growth in percentages.
EAT, operating for DHL, topped the list in Vilnius with 2,381 tonnes of cargo during the period, securing 51.91 percent of the total cargo market.
#2 Lufthansa accounted for 597 tonnes, and #3 was airBaltic lifting 2654 tonnes at Vilnius Airport.
