Sep 14, 2015 (newstodate): Polish industry sources claim that SAS is negotiating with two Polish airport for launch of services to Copenhagen Airport.
The airports in question are Lodz and Bydgoszcz.
While Bydgoszcz would be a newcomer to the route network of SAS, the carrier has earlier served the route between Copenhagen and Lodz, opened on October 29, 2012, with six weekly rotations with CRJ200 aircraft operated by Cimber but closed down again already on February 3, 2014, allegedly due to limited market response.
Today, SAS is serving four Polish destinations, including flights to Gdansk from Stockholm, Oslo and Copenhagen, as well as to Poznan, Warsaw and Wroclaw from Copenhagen.
SAS earlier served also Katowice from March 25, 2012, but withdrew from the route by the winter 2012 schedule due to low demand in the market.
