Sep 29, 2015 (newstodate): Air cargo volumes on Russian carriers were up six percent in January-August 2015, to a total of 678,471 tonnes.
Most notably, one carrier accounted for no less than 59 percent of this total - AirBridgeCargo that lifted 398,607 tonnes of cargo, up 19.3 percent, y-o-y.
Together, the five largest cargo airlines accounted for 83 percent of the total volumes, or 565,740 tonnes.
On the top-5 list there is a long step down to #2, Aeroflot that generated 90,031 tonnes of cargo, but up only 1.7 percent.
The remaining three carriers on the top-5 list were as usual Transaero, down 16.8 percent to 35,525 tonnes, Volga-Dnepr with 22,481 tonnes and down 13.4 percent, and finally S7, down 20.3 percent to 19,096 tonnes during the eight-month period.
