Sep 18, 2015 (newstodate): oneworld-partner airlines are finding eachother in new cooperation on cargo.
One latest example is the agreement between LOT Cargo and JAL Cargo, where JAL Cargo will be responsible for sale of LOT Cargo in the Japanese market.
Starting from January 2016, LOT will be offering three rotations on the route between Warsaw and Tokyo Narita with Boeing 787 aircraft capable of lifting up to 15 tones of belly hold cargo.
The agreement between the two airlines also comprises handling of LOT's aircraft in Japan as well as sale of cargo space on other routes operated by the two carriers.
In Finland, Finnair Cargo signed a contract with its oneworld partner Japan Air Lines comprising sale of all capacity on this carrier's four weekly Boeing 787 rotations since March 2013 on the route between Tokyo Narita and Helsinki Vaanta Airport in cooperation with Finnair.
And since September 15, 2015, Finnair Cargo's shared freighter service with IAG Cargo between Helsinki and London Luton Airport is offering two weekly rotations with an Airbus A300-600 freighter aircraft from DHL Aviation.
