Sep 14, 2015 (newstodate): With the thaw in relations between Iran and the West, Iran will see signatures to new air services agreements with EU countries.
As one latest example, Spain's Minister of Public Works and Transport has announced that Spain and Iran are about to sign a new transport agreement, expected to link Tehran with Madrid and Barcelona through direct passenger and cargo flights.
Two Iranian carriers, Iran Air and Mahan Air have responded favorably to this, and the Spanish carrier Vueling has already announced plans for start of flights to Tehran from Madrid and Barcelona with two weekly rotations on each route once the new agreement has been inked.
