Sep 23, 2015 (newstodate): Flight services between Iceland and Greenland will increase from next summer.
The Icelandair Group-subsidiary Air Iceland plans to introduce Kangerlussuaq as its fifth destination in Greenland, in addition to Kulusuk, Nuuk, Narsarsuaq and Ilulissat.
The new operations will be launched in June 2016 as a result of Air Iceland's acquisition of three Bombardier Q400 aircraft that will be used on the new route.
The route will be operated twice weekly during the summer season and offer transit connections at Keflavik Airport with international flights by Icelandair.
