Sep 10, 2015 (newstodate): One cargo terminal stands idle at Copenhagen Airport after the WFS take-over of Swissport cargo handling from October 1, 2014.
Would Menzies be a potential new player, building on its new airport handling company in Copenhagen operating since April 1, 2015?
-Thoughts of adding cargo handling at Copenhagen Airport are not on the table for the moment, says Miguel Gomez Sjunnesson, Menzies country manager Sweden also supervising the set-up in Denmark.
-It will of course depend on changes in the market. We are always analyzing to see how things develop to see if this constitutes a business opportunity for Menzies. But at this stage we are not looking into it.
-We are, however, always interested but the current situation does not trigger any thoughts of entering the cargo handling business at Copenhagen Airport, says Mr Gomez.
