Sep 14, 2015 (newstodate): While still the junior in ground handling at Copenhagen Airport, Menzies Aviation has again landed a new airline handling contract.
Taking effect from July 21, 2015, the Spanish LCC Vueling has contracted Menzies to provide handling at Copenhagen Airport, replacing Aviator.
Menzies established handling services at Copenhagen Airport from April 1, 2015, with Norwegian as its launch customer, followed by a contract with Delta Air Lines.
Expectations are that Menzies Aviation will expand significantly as the planned acquisition by Aviator of SGH takes effect, greatly changing the competitive environment at Copenhagen Airport.
Menzies has also been appointed handling services provider for Vueling at Sweden's Gothenburg Airport and at Stockholm Arlanda Vueling has renewed its contract with Menzies, in all three cases for a three-year period.
