Sep 08, 2015 (newstodate): September 15, 2015, has now been set as the launch date for Finnair Cargo's new business venture with its IAG partner.
From that date Finnair Cargo's shared freighter service with IAG Cargo between Helsinki and London Luton Airport will offer two weekly rotations with an Airbus A300-600 freighter aircraft from DHL Aviation.
The new, tailor-made service to match Finnair's and IAG Cargo's networks is designed to improve connectivity between Asia Pacific, Europe and the Americas.
At the same time the new freighter service will make London a new hub for Finnair Cargo, supported also by up to seven daily Finnair and BA narrow-body flights between Heathrow and Helsinki.
Cargo originating in the UK or Americas will also be carried to Asia utilizing Finnair's extensive and growing belly cargo network to Asian destinations.
