Sep 18, 2015 (newstodate): FedEx has renewed its freighter handling contract with Avinor at Copenhagen Airport.
The new three-year contract comprises handling of the aircraft while FedEx is itself responsible for own cargo terminal handling since 2009 when its first cargo terminal at Copenhagen Airport was commissioned on April 1, 2009. Prior to that, terminal handling was provided by Spirit.
FedEx is now readying to move into its new premises at Copenhagen Airport, presumably around start of October 2015.
FedEx has constructed a new 8,000 sq m facility with the capacity of sorting 11,500 packages per day, processing 18 weekly FedEx Express flights, 170 truck movements per week and with a fleet of up to 36 pick-up and delivery vehicles.
