Sep 02, 2015 (newstodate): The Danish carrier and capacity provider DAT has landed a new contract with Sweden's Sparrow Aviation.
Sparrow Aviation's new route to be launched in October 2015 from Halmstad via Stockholm Arlanda to Berlin Tegel Airport will thus be operated with an ATR 42-500 aircraft on a wet-lease from DAT, and this aircraft will also now be deployed on Sparrow Aviation's existing route from Kristianstad via Stockholm Arlanda to Berlin launched on MArch 2, 2015.
Sparrow Aviation's third route, connecting Kalmar and Stockholm will continue with an Embraer 145 on a wet-lease from bmi Regional.
-Our efforts will focus on the consolidation of the two new routes between Swedish destinations and Berlin, and no new routes will be opened this year, says Richard Franck, Sparrow Aviation managing director.
Formerly named Flyglinjen, Sparrow Aviation is a domestic and international airline based in Stockholm, Sweden and with its main base at Kristianstad Airport.
The airline was re-branded in July 2014 and changed the name Flyglinjen to Sparrow Aviation.
